When I was little I was afraid of getting my ears pierced, because I thought they'd shoot a hole in my ear with a gun. In dutch it's called "gaatjes schieten" , which translates to "shooting holes". That's why I thought they would shoot me. Sometimes the world is a lot less scarier than you think it is.
